Having Fun.

Things have been fun lately. I'm relishing the good weather while it lasts. We got a significant amount of flurries today which in turn became sleet and freezing rain. I'll be posting snow pictures soon. I've committed myself to shooting in the snow more than I did last year. The cold shocked me last year but this year, I'm prepared.

Dramatic Life.

I've been mega stressed lately. It's nice to be able to relax on assignment and shoot beauty. While I was shooting here there were about 15 hunters shooting guns all around me.

Here's the story that goes with this. This apple orchard is owned by the Town of Hollis and they're beginning to sell off parcels for development. It wont be long before the beauty that currently resides takes a different look. It's a shame too because this is New Hampshire and the below image looks like it could be from the Serengeti.

The world is stressful. Remember to breathe and shoot some pictures. It's the best medicine.

¡Hace frío afuera!

When I saw that the beautiful Winter afternoon light has come to kiss the red bricked streets of Downtown Nashua, I decided I would go on a walk about this afternoon. It's a brisk 30 degrees outside so I dand the hat, jacket and gloves that have long been packed away since last winter.

Here's few of my favorites from the walkabout.

State Champs

It was a sloppy day today. What would a sloppy day be without some high school state championship action? For the second time, Souhegan High School in Amherst won a state championship against Portsmouth.

Here are some images.

Football in the Fog

I shot a playoff football game last night and took along a 16-35 with a flash on my second body instead of my traditional 70-200, au naturale. Had some fun shooting loose and strobing things...here's some proof.

election day

Election day has come and gone thankfully. Here's the multimedia piece I shot on Election day which was mentioned on poynter's website in the same breath as the New York Times and Star-Tribune's coverage.

Schruted It.

Here is the third of my sports-filled day. It was nice getting to break out the lights again. I need to work on finding a new way to light indoor sports. The way I'm doing it now is horribly flat when shooting from the baseline.

I'm about to go to a party dressed as Andy Bernard. I'll keep you all abreast of how the evening went as well as maybe post a few photos if I bring the camera with me.
