Canvassing for the New York Daily News

Here's a few from an assignment I had with the New York Daily News last week. They sent me out canvassing with people from New York that took a bus up to campaign for Obama in Manchester, NH.

A Blog of Massive Proportion

I realize that I have been horrible at posting as of late. Sooo, to make up for it. Here is a blog of massive proportion.

First, photos from a fall foliage project I worked on. It was a great excuse for me to spend time outside in the most gorgeous weather we've had since I've been here. It was great to be able to lay in the grass and climb trees and get paid to do it. Michael Jordan, eat your heart out.

Miss Monadnock, who the heck are you?

You gotta love community journalism. In a week that I was in crunch time for a project I've been working on for a few weeks (photos to come in a few days after publication) I was assigned to go to the first ever Miss Monadnock Beauty Pageant. For those who aren't in the know, this pageant is a feeder pageant for the Miss New Hampshire pageant later in the year. The winner goes on to compete against a number of other girls from around the state.

Access was dismal so I was forced to do something I don't normally do. The results were very nice I thought. It got some of the best play in the paper that I've had recently.

No Apples at the Apple Festival?

I went to an apple festival today and there were not that many apples there. I only saw a guy grinding apples and squishing them to make cider....boring. I'd rather shoot kids and stuff haha.

When the assigning editor gives you shit, make a shit sandwich.
